The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger power banks due to serious fire and burn hazards. The recall specifically affects power banks with the model number E33A, which feature the brand name "Flaunt" engraved on the right side and include a small circular button on the front.
These power banks were available in four colors: melon, black, lavender, and white. They were sold on flauntcases.com from May 2024 to April 2025, with a retail price of approximately $65.
Reports indicate that there have been five incidents of the power banks overheating and igniting. Among these reports, one individual suffered a burn to their hand, another sustained a burn on their arm, and there were four instances of minor property damage.
Consumers who own these power banks are advised to stop using them immediately. Flaunt is offering a full refund of the purchase price, either as a check for $65 or as $80 in store credit redeemable at flauntcases.com.
It is important for consumers to note that these power banks should not be disposed of in regular trash, recycling streams, or used battery recycling boxes due to the presence of lithium-ion batteries, which require special disposal methods.
