Authorities in Prince George’s County are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy at the Langley Park Community Center. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on June 26, when police responded to reports of gunfire on the 1500 block of Merrimac Drive.

The victim, identified as Angel Guzman, was found outside the community center suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This tragic event marks the third fatal shooting of a teenager in the county within the month of June. Earlier in the month, 16-year-old Ruben Arevalo Saavedra was killed in Brentwood on June 15, followed by the shooting death of 18-year-old Daijah Cherry from Washington, D.C., on June 19 in Capitol Heights.

Investigators are currently working to establish a motive for the shooting and are in the process of identifying potential suspects. According to police, they do not believe this incident was random. In an effort to gather more information, a cash reward is being offered for tips related to the case.
