Arson Investigation Underway After Fire at Food Truck Lot in Baltimore

Baltimore authorities are conducting an arson investigation following a fire that broke out Thursday night in a food truck parking lot behind the Patapsco Market.

Firefighters responded quickly to the scene, where they focused their efforts on a fleet of food trucks located within a gated area. To facilitate their response, police closed off the 1400 block of West Patapsco Avenue, allowing fire crews to maneuver their equipment and lay fire hoses up a steep incline.

In an effort to access the fire site, firefighters cut a hole in a fence along Patapsco Avenue. As the fire was extinguished, several onlookers gathered nearby, seeking updates on the extent of the damage.

To ensure the area remained secure during the investigation, police established a crime scene. On Friday morning, a fire investigator and a forensics investigator from the Baltimore Police Department arrived to assess the situation and gather evidence.

As the investigation continues, many community members have been seen waiting near the crime scene tape for further information from officials.
