A teacher and administrator from Baltimore City Schools has been arrested following an undercover operation targeting online solicitation of minors.

Dennis Jutras, 61, of Aberdeen, is now facing charges after authorities conducted an investigation that began on May 7. A detective, posing as a 15-year-old boy, was contacted by Jutras on a social media platform.

During their online exchanges, Jutras, who identified himself as a teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools, engaged in sexually charged conversations with the detective. Authorities reported that these interactions included inappropriate sexual photos.

The investigation progressed as the detective arranged a meeting with Jutras at a park in Harford County. Upon Jutras's arrival at the location, law enforcement took him into custody. He is currently being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone who may have been victimized by Jutras or who has additional information to come forward. Individuals can contact Detective Sergeant at 410-836-5428.

In response to the arrest, Baltimore City Public Schools issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to student safety. They confirmed that Jutras has been placed on administrative leave and noted that he worked within the Gifted and Advanced Learning program. The school system stated they are not aware of any impact on students from this incident but encouraged anyone with relevant information to reach out to the Harford County Sheriff's Office at 410-838-6600.
