Baltimore Police have confirmed the discovery of the remains of 72-year-old Darlene Campbell, who had been missing for 11 days. Her body was located in a vacant building situated in the 1900 block of Greenmount Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Authorities reported that Campbell went missing on June 18 from her residence in the 300 block of East 28th Street. In an effort to locate her, the Baltimore Police Department released a video last Friday showing her walking down a street, which was shared on social media.
A community search was organized on Sunday, beginning at King and Kennedy Park, to aid in the search for Campbell. The investigation into her death is currently ongoing, with the Medical Examiner's Office set to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
