A tragic motorcycle accident in Rockville, Maryland, resulted in the death of one rider early Sunday morning, according to Montgomery County Police.
The incident took place around 1:16 a.m. at the intersection of Norbeck Road and Hannans Way. Two motorcycles, both Hondas, were traveling westbound on Norbeck Road when they collided with each other, leading both riders to lose control of their vehicles.
One of the motorcyclists, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second rider, who was riding alongside, remained unharmed and stayed at the location following the crash.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit of the Montgomery County Police is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Authorities plan to provide additional information, including the name of the deceased motorcyclist, as it becomes available.
