Montgomery County Police are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found in an apartment in Gaithersburg, which they are treating as a homicide.
The victim, a 37-year-old woman, was discovered with visible trauma to her upper body at approximately 8:14 a.m. on Sunday in the 8500 block of Snouffer School Road.
Emergency responders attempted to perform lifesaving measures until the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the location.
The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been tasked with conducting an autopsy to ascertain the cause and manner of death.
As of now, police have not released any information regarding a potential suspect but have indicated that they will provide details about the victim's identity and other relevant information in the near future.
