New Baltimore County Schools Superintendent to Be Announced Soon

BALTIMORE COUNTY — The Board of Education has finalized its choice for the next superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools, awaiting state approval before making an official announcement.

The announcement is scheduled for Monday, June 22, with an in-person meeting set for Wednesday, June 24.

This decision follows the identification of four finalists for the role, which was disclosed just a week prior.

Current superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers is set to retire on July 1. She has served in this position for the past three years, leading a school system that caters to approximately 108,000 students. Dr. Rogers has a distinguished career spanning over 30 years as both a teacher and administrator.

The Board of Education engaged Ray and Associates LLC, an executive search firm, to facilitate the national search for suitable candidates for the superintendent position.
