Authorities are looking into a tragic motorcycle accident that took place on Thursday in Frederick County.
Maryland State Police reported that troopers were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on westbound I-70, specifically at Exit 62, which leads to MD 75/Green Valley Road.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found one individual deceased at the site of the incident, while another person was taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical care for their injuries.
The Maryland State Highway Administration noted that the crash led to the temporary closure of all westbound lanes on I-70; however, those lanes have since been reopened to traffic.
As of now, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
